Adaugo is a Mechanical Engineer who recently graduated from the University of Maryland College Park. She graduated as a UMD Science, Technology and Society Scholar, LSAMP Undergraduate Research Fellow.

Her research interests include health equity in medical field, point-of-care diagnostic medical technology for low resources settings, and surgical robotics. Adaugo is applying to PhD programs in Biomedical Engineering after completion of her B.S.

Her ultimate goal is to revolutionize the medical technology industry by founding a startup after earning her PhD. This company will focus on closing the gap in healthcare access through the creation, marketing, and distribution of diagnostic tools designed to make the diagnostic process more affordable and accessible for everyday individuals. She is passionate about addressing health disparities and envisions dismantling systemic barriers that disproportionately affect people of color.
